Testimonials

The support we got from you was absolute solid gold. People were in awe that we were trekking as a family and hadn’t hired a guide or one of the big companies to book everything for us.

From the initial guidance to the mapping to the video call we did to the reviews, revisions, and recommendations you gave about our planning – everything was spot on.

Jen, US

I want you to know that you have made this trip possible, no exaggeration.

I would not be going with the confidence I now have and something tells me that if I find myself in a weird situation I have two guides that actually care about me just an email away.

Randy, US

This guide was a must have for us! The tips on how to use our phone as a GPS via the Gaia app while without signal saved us hours of backtracking when we lost the trail…I was so impressed!

Additionally, the details about where each campsite was what types of things we could find there was invaluable.

Julie, UK

How will I be notified about availability?

You will receive an email as soon as your preferred accommodation(s) become available. You can also opt into SMS text message notifications if you would like.

How much does it cost? Why do I have to pay monthly instead of just once?

The TMB Availability Alert Service costs $5 per month. Making it a subscription instead of a one-time payment allows us to keep it very affordable and it allows you to only pay for it as long as you need it.

How do I cancel my subscription?

When you sign up for TMB Availability Alerts, you’ll create an account. You can then login to your account to cancel your subscription or manage your alerts anytime.

Can I add or change dates and/or refuges after I set up alerts?

Yes! You can opt into alerts for as many refuges and dates as you would like. Once you set up your account, it’s easy to see all of your alerts and add or remove alerts based on your needs. You can make as many changes and additions as you want for as long as you subscribe to the alert service.

Does this service “hold” beds for me?

TMB Availability Alerts notifies you as soon as beds become available for your desired itinerary, giving you the best possible chance of securing a reservation. However, this service does not make any bookings for you and does not “hold” them for you. To ensure the best chance of locking down your perfect itinerary, be sure to book your beds as soon as they open up!

Do I need the TMB Availability Alerts service?

If you don’t plan on camping or trekking with a tour company, we highly recommend signing up for availability alerts. Reserving accommodation is undoubtedly the most difficult part of planning a TMB trek, and missing out on some of the most special refuges along the route can be a major bummer (and create some serious headaches when it comes to making your itinerary work). Signing up for TMB Availability Alerts is a small expense that can save you a ton of time and stress down the road.
